If your espresso machine does not have a suction hose but a hole in the bottom of the water tank for water intake, this limescale filter is the solution.
Machines like NS Oscar/Oscar II, Ascaso Steel and others are examples where this filter ideally can be used.
Instructions
1. Take the filter out of the plastic wrapping
2. Rinse the filter thoroughly under cold water
3. Place the filter in the water tank of the coffee machine
4. Fill up the water tank and leave the filter to work for up to 10 hours
5. Refill the tank regularly
The filter can reduce the carbonate hardness of the water to about 1/4 - e.g. from 20 KH to 5 KH within 10 hours.
The capacity of the filter is as follows (with a filled 2 litre tank):
5 KH: 450 litres
10 KH: 225 litres
